Welcome to the Northwest Oregon Incident Management Team web site (NWORIIMT). Our website is not only designed to provide you information on our current assignments, but also on our former assignments, as well as fire photos, news releases, and other useful related fire information links. The NWORIIMT is one of four Type II "area" teams in Oregon, with five Type II teams assigned to Washington State .
Our team consists of personnel that represent 14 National Forests and 5 States, with our dispatching office out of Eugene, Oregon. Team members come from a broad spectrum of federal, state, and municipal fire districts; all team members are highly qualified in wildland firefighting and or within their respective discipline.
Once given delegation of authority from the Agency Administrators, our team will work to assure the incident is adequately managed to its conclusion or until replaced by another team. Team members are on a two-week availability rotation - during this time they maintain a status of “readiness” and are able to respond within a two-hour time frame.
